Evelyn J. Searfoss

CONTINENTAL – Evelyn J. Searfoss, 90, of Continental, passed away at 9:23 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Brookview Healthcare Center, Defiance.  She was born June 8, 1934, in Van Wert, to the late Kenneth and Mae (Agler) Campbell.  On January 1, 1951, she married Carl E. Searfoss, he preceded her in death on May 22, 2021.

Evelyn is survived by four children: Vicki Tyler, and Karen Sparks, both of Defiance, Robert Searfoss and Deborah (Monto) Mumea, both of Continental; fourteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Searfoss; sons-in-law, Denny Sparks and James Tyler; a granddaughter, Carissa Tyler; and three siblings, Gene (Phyllis) Campbell, Larry (Donna) Campbell, and Margaret (Larry) Bruick

Evelyn was a homemaker.  She enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo and going to the casino.

Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental with Vicki Lopez officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and again on Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
