Evelyn J. Tumblin
Grover Hill – Evelyn J. Tumblin, 85, of Grover Hill, died 1:25 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Meadows of Kalida.  She was born May 3, 1927 in Deshler to the late John and Maude (Rickard) Hill.  On July 31, 1960, she married Owen J. Tumblin who died November 8, 2002.
Evelyn is survived by her children: Terry (Keith) Geiger of Ottoville; Karen (Larry) Sanderson of Ft. Wayne, IN; Deborah Lehman of Van Wert; Roger (Kelly) Tumblin of Oakwood and Robin Tumblin of Grover Hill; 10 grandchildren: Jeffrey Curtis, Jeannie (Kip) Mansfield, Julie Hibbard, Eric Sanderson, Brock (Katie) Sanderson, Michelle (Matt) Menke, Matthew Tumblin,  Danielle Tumblin, Michelle Porter and Mitchell Porter; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother: Norman (Betty) Hill of Deshler; a sister-in-law: Dorothy Hill of Lima and a brother-in-law: Sam Markwood of Quincy, MI.  Preceding her in death is a son: DeWayne Tumblin, 3 grandchildren: Daniel Sanderson, Steven Lehman and Taylor Tumblin; 2 brothers: John Hill and Clarence Hill; 4 sisters: Lois Baker, Helen (Glen) Radabaugh, Bernice (Art) Kinder and Mary Leon Markwood.
Evelyn retired in 1987 from the former Philips ECG, Ottawa.  She was a member of the Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill.  She enjoyed gardening, bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at the Middle Creek United Methodist Church, Grover Hill, with the Rev. Bill Sherry officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be given to Paulding Co. Visiting Nurses, Middle Creek United Methodist Church or the Steven Lehman Memorial Fund.
