F. Imogene Ward
OTTAWA – F. Imogene Ward, 88, of Leipsic died at 1:55 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. She was born September 12, 1924 in Leipsic to the late Robert and Ollie (Waltner) Forney. On August 8, 1945 she married Irven "Leon" Ward who died November 21, 2004.
She is survived by two children: Bob Ward and Lisa (Denny) Gerdeman both of Ottawa; a daughter-in-law: Pam Ward of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Robert (Billye) Forney, Jr. of Florida. She was also preceded in death by a son: Larry Ward and a sister: Mary Miller.
Imogene was the secretary for the Leipsic High School principal for over 21 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Leipsic and a member of the Eastern Star of Leipsic and Heritage Chapters where she had been a Worthy Matron and Deputy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 16, 2012 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Rev. Tim Eding officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday and one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. There will be an Eastern Star Service on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
