Fernando P. Roa

LEIPSIC – Fernando P. Roa, 92, of Leipsic, died at 10:48 a.m. of November 14, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on May 30, 1929 in Joliet, IL to the late Victor Padilla and Natividad Ramirez.  On October 25, 1953, he married Julia Canul, she preceded him in death on November 24, 2006.

Fernando is survived by seven children: Elvia Roa of Ottawa, Linda Olivo of Houston, TX, Robert Roa of Columbus Grove, Susan Roa of Leipsic, Crystal (Mark) Roa-Bejarano of Findlay,  Sandra Roa of Leipsic, and Alex Roa of Lima; eighteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.

He is also preceded in death by two sons, Natividad and Fernando Roa Jr.

Fernando was raised by his grandparents, Tomas Roa and Margarita Rojas.  In 1996 he retired from Whirlpool, Findlay.  He was a member of F.L.O.C. and Crusillo Movement from the Diocese of Toledo.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Ron Schock officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with a scripture service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Parish Life Center prior to the Mass.
