Florence D. Hughes
FT. JENNINGS - Florence D. Hughes, 91, of Ft. Jennings, died at 4:35 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born June 24, 1922 in St. Stephens to the late Charles and Frances (Kimmet) Faeth. On February 26, 1944 she married B. Arthur Hughes who died in 1995.
She is survived by her sister: Agnes Monak of Sandusky. Her brother, Arthur Faeth and her sister, Martha Hageman preceded her in death.
Florence was a child care provider and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings and its Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member of the Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings with Fr. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 pm. on Tuesday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where there will be an American Legion Auxiliary service at 6:30 p.m., a CLC rosary at 7:30 p.m. and a scripture service at 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the mass at church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
