GLANDORF -- Floyd L. Meyer, 83, of Glandorf died 4:40 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Meadows of Leipsic.  He was born December 5, 1931 in Glandorf to the late Harry and Marie (Siebeneck) Meyer.  On July 12, 1958 he married LaDonna Burkholder, who preceded him in death on March 7, 1998.
Floyd is survived by 6 daughters:  Tina (Randy) Fortman of Glandorf, Lisa (David) Hathaway of Houston, TX, Shelly (Mark) Matijevich, Trudy Meyer, Tracy Meyer, and Tricia (Kevin) Koch, all of Glandorf; 2 sons:  Tony (Lisa) Meyer of Glandorf and Todd (Michelle) Meyer of Defiance; 18 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and 1 great-granddaughter; and 1 sister:  Angeline Sudlow of Leipsic.
Floyd was a self-employed drainage contractor and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf.  He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a life member of the Leipsic Hunting and Fishing Club and enjoyed his bowling league for many years.
He worked tirelessly at the Glandorf Tile Yard for more than 70 years, having installed over 40 million feet of tile by hand, up hill, both ways.  He believed in devotion to God, working hard, and taking care of his family.  Floyd will rest happily ever after with his amazing wife, LaDonna, in the Kingdom of God.  He may have left this earth but his handy work remains, because if you see the tile draining, you know that Floyd is still at work.  We will celebrate his life.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, with Father Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 1:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church or to Putnam County Home Care and Hospice.  Condolences may be expressed at www.lovefuneralhome.com.
