Forrest J. Hasselschwert
Continental -- Forrest J. Hasselschwert, 64, of Continental died 7:05 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born November 4, 1950 in Defiance to the late James and Annabelle (Fritz) Hasselschwert. On July 13, 1974 he married Kathleen Luersman, who survives in Continental.
Also surviving are his children: Jaime Hasselschwert of St. Mary's, Mindy (Matt) Houck of Kalida and Anthony (Rebecka) Hasselschwert of Fort Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren: Madelyn, Grady and Ryan Houck and William, Abigail and James Hasselschwert; and a sister: Mary Hasselschwert of Delphos.
He is preceded in death by a brother: Robert Hasselschwert.
Forrest worked for Johns-Manville for 43 years where he had been a machine operator and was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale. He was and avid NASCAR fan and greatly enjoyed hunting.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday,11 A.M., June 11, 2015 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Fr. Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
