Frances M. (Aicher) Skilondz, 94, of Westerville, Ohio died 8:10 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Country View of Sunbury. She was born May 8, 1921, in
Milwaukee, WI to the late John and Marie (Mixa) Aicher.
She is survived by daughter's Patricia (Thomas) Love of Westerville, OH and Joanne (Richard) Stafford of Hogansville, GA; grandchildren, Michael (Abby) Love, Andrew Love, Kelly Stafford, Tera (Charles) Lawrence, Richard Stafford 1V, Jereme Stafford and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her first husband Joseph T. Leonard, second husband Nicholas Skilondz, beloved son, Raymond J. Leonard, siblings Jack Aicher, Cecilia Michels, Fred Aicher, Alma Reimer, Mildred Zimmerman and Edward Aicher.
Frances served in WWII in the Women's Air Corps; this was a time of her life that she recalled fondly. Throughout her life, Frances worked as a health care provider and
retired from Hines VA Hospital in Chicago, IL. She loved to travel across the states with friends, returning year after year to Las Vegas to see her love, "Elvis". Retiring in
Florida, she quickly returned part time to home healthcare and found she enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery in lieu of Las Vegas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, Westerville, OH with Fr. David Gwinner officiating. Burial will follow in Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville with military rites. A luncheon at St. Paul's church will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Paul Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, OH 43082.
