Frances Ann Schroeder
LEIPSIC – Frances Ann “Fanny” Schroeder, 93, of Leipsic, passed away at 5:11 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Fox Run Manor, Findlay. She was born October 9, 1932, in Ottawa to the late Fred and Mary (Miller) Laubenthal. On April 30, 1960, she married Harold J. “Pete” Schroeder, he preceded her in death on August 4, 2015.
Fanny is survived by four children: Lisa Gilley of Beavercreek, Jeff (Brenda) Schroeder of Findlay, Tony (Faune) Schroeder of Leipsic, and Patrick (Karen) Schroeder of Bowling Green; and thirteen grandchildren: Dean (Megan) Gilley, Ross (Emma) Gilley, Kirsten Schroeder, Audra (Andrew) Shroll, Rhett Schroeder, Ellory (Griffin) Hohman, Richie (Morgan) Rodriguez, Brandon Schroeder, Collin (Emily) Schroeder, Alec Schroeder, Derek Schroeder, Rachel Schroeder and Adam Schroeder; five great-grandchildren: Hailee, Aela, Eliana, Carter, Dawson and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Walter “Ollie” (Alvera) Laubenthal, John Laubenthal, Dorothy (Harold) McCabe, Rose Mary Laubenthal, and Betty Jane (Max) Kelley
Fanny had worked in the Putnam County Treasurer’s office. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic and its rosary altar and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Fanny loved collecting tea cups and saucers. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Steve Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the St. Mary’s Parish Life Center, Leipsic.
Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.
