Francis G. Brubaker
HAMLER - Francis G. Brubaker, 83, of Hamler, died 3:23 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, lima surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 23, 1931, in Hamler to the late William and Anna (Heigel) Brubaker. On October 17, 1953, he married Mary Jane Ellerbrock and she survives in Hamler.
Also surviving are 9 children: Steve (Connie) Brubaker of Geneva, Christine (Jack) Everson of Chillicothe, Janet (Jay) Lemley of Wauseon, Gary Brubaker of Hamler, Michael Brubaker of Napoleon, Roger (Sue) Brubaker of Defiance, Kevin (Mary Ann) Brubaker of Hamler, Tim (Laura) Brubaker of Bowling Green and Lisa Sheridan of Perrysburg; 18 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; a brother: Joe (Millie) Brubaker of Hamler and a sister-in-law: Bernita Brubaker of Hamler.
He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law: Nancy Brubaker; 2 brothers: Eugene and Melvin Brubaker and a sister: Angela Beindorf.
Francis retired in 1996 after 30 years with Johns Manville in Defiance. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Hamler, Napoleon Knights of Columbus, Leipsic Eagles and Son's of the American Legion in Hamler. He enjoyed his morning coffee at Hamler Restaurant, driving cars and was an avid Patrick Henry basketball fan. He was the type of man that never met a stranger. Francis loved life, his family and especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Hamler with Fr. Nicholas Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, where a rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. followed by a K of C memorial service.
