Gary D. Hohenbrink

OTTAWA – Gary D. Hohenbrink, 76, of Ottawa, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at his residence. He was born January 16, 1948, in Lima to David J. and Patricia (Meyer) Hohenbrink. His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Ottawa. On October 18, 1969, he married Margaret R. "Marge" Palte, who survives in Ottawa.

Gary is also survived by a son, Greg (Jody) Hohenbrink of Pandora; two grandchildren: Zachary and Ryan Hohenbrink; and four siblings: Keith Hohenbrink of Harrod, Sandra Hoeflich of Chapel Hill, NC, Paula Andrysco of Ottawa and David (Sue) Hohenbrink, Smith Mountain Lake, VA.

Gary retired from Time Warner Cable and formerly owned Hohenbrink Builders. He was a member of the Leipsic Fishing & Hunting Club, Glandorf Rod & Gun, Sons of the American Legion, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Ottawa and lifetime member of the NRA. Gary loved camping with his family and going hunting.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 6 p.m. at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
