Gary J. Maas

OTTAWA – Gary J. Maas, 63, of Ottawa died 10:48 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Rita's, Lima. He was born January 21, 1955 in Lima to the late Bernard J. and Ann Marie (Roebke) Maas.

He is survived by his brother, James M. (Linda) Maas of Leipsic; his sister, Darlene (Raymond) Brown of Lima; two nephews, Jamie Maas and Jeremy Maas; and two nieces, Heather Alt and Deborah Sigg.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Maas; a niece, Jody Maas; and a nephew, Andrew Maas

Gary worked at Brookhill Workshop in Ottawa. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, He loved music, watching television, and competing in the Special Olympics.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a Scripture Service at 7:50 p.m.
