George E. "Andy" Schiple

CONTINENTAL - George E. "Andy" Schiple, 84, of Continental, died 5:15 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2016 at The Gardens of Paulding.  He was born September 21, 1931 in Miller City to the late Andrew and Emma (Ball) Schiple.  On June 1, 1957, he married Julia King.  She died December 4, 2000.

Survivors include three children: Lee (Leola) Schiple of Napoleon, Jeff Schiple of Continental and Rhonda (Kasey) Miner of Continental; three grandchildren: Louise Hill, Lesley Wilhelm and Harley Miner; and three great-grandchildren: Ellieana Wilhelm, Norah Wilhelm and Jevan Hill.  He was also preceded in death by a brother: William Schiple.

Andy retired from GM Powertrain in Defiance and was a US Marine Veteran.

Funeral Service will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental with Rev. Charles Schmunk officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental with military rites by the Continental American Legion.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016 and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental.
