George L. Ricker
OTTOVILLE – George L. Ricker, 90, of Ottoville, died at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born February 20, 1922 in Ottoville to the late Joseph and Elnora (Miller) Ricker.  On June 21, 1975, he married Patricia Hickey and she survives in Ottoville.  Also surviving are 2 sons: Shaun Ricker of Wapakoneta and Jeremy (Kelly) Ricker of Ottoville; 3 grandchildren: Jacob, Cody and Courtney Ricker; 3 sisters: Adeline Pohlman of Delphos, Margaret (James) Schimmoeller of Fort Jennings, Jeanette (Robert) Brickner of Delphos and 1 brother: Omer (Alice) Ricker of Fort Jennings.  He was preceded in death also by 2 brothers: Arnold and Ambrose Ricker and a sister: Marceil Bellman.
George was a lifelong farmer who loved his work. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville; a social member of the Ottoville VFW and a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville with Fr. John Stites officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of Rts. 224 & 634).
Memorials may be made to the Sisters of Notre Dame, Immaculate Conception Parish or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
