Gerald H. "Jerry" Hilvers
Ft. Jennings - Gerald H. "Jerry" Hilvers, 72, of Ottoville died 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born March 19, 1943 in Lima to the late George and Lucinda (Miller) Hilvers. On April 25, 1964 he married Jane Miller who survives in Ottoville.
Gerald is also survived by their children: Janice (Fred) Drerup of Ottoville, Joyce (Bob) Wehner of London, Julie (Ron) Warnecke of Monclova, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Joe) Wrasman of Delphos and Gerald "Jerry" (Stefanie) Hilvers, Jr. of Ottoville; 9 grandchildren: Jennifer (Ryan) Braid of Colorado, Erica (Ryan) Brown of Plain City, Adam Warnecke of Monclova, Kyle (Carolyn) Drerup of New York, Emily (James) Alexander of Columbus, Kayla Wrasman of Holland, and Luke, Mark and Alayna Wrasman, all of Delphos; 1 step-grandchild: Aaron (Mindy) Wehner of London; 4 Great-grandchildren: Henry and Francis Drerup, Jay Brown and Caleb Alexander; 3 step-great-grandchildren: Ivan, Max and Ava Wehner; a sister, Jane Bonifas of Landeck; 2 brothers: Philip (Carol) Hilvers and Mark (Kathy) Hilvers both
of Ottoville; and a sister-in-law: (Norma) Hilvers of Pennsboro, WV. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Jay Wehner; brother: Paul Hilvers; and a brother-in-law: Richard Bonifas.
Gerald was a retired farmer and had worked construction. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township where a scripture service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.
