GERALD W. "JERRY" PESTER
OTTAWA - Gerald W. "Jerry" Pester, 61, of Ottawa died 6:20 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Lima Manor, Lima. He was born January 28, 1952, in Lima, to Charles and Virginia "Jane" (Hermiller) Pester of Miller City.
Other survivors include 4 children: Chad Pester of Leipsic, Jason (Jami) Pester of Glandorf, Jami Pester and Jeremy (Jennifer Loetz) Pester of Lima; 6 grandchildren: 2 step-grandchildren: 5 siblings: Kenneth (Sue) Pester of Ottawa, Connie (Duane) Maag of Leipsic, Donald (Sandy) Pester and Wayne (Lynn) Pester of Miller City, and Alice (Greg) Borgelt of Glandorf; and fiancé Debbie Mullins of Ottawa.
Jerry was a heavy equipment operator for the Ohio Operating Engineers, of Toledo. He was a member of the Ottawa Eagles, Glandorf Rod & Gun, and the Union of Ohio Operating Engineers Local 18. He also enjoyed gardening, farming and fishing.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
