Germaine R. Schroeder

Ottawa -- Germaine R. Schroeder, 69, of  Ottawa, died at 10:58 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 at her daughter's residence. She was born September 25, 1946 in Glandorf to the late John and Emma (Kerner) Ellerbrock. On September 18, 1965 she married Andrew L. Schroeder who died April 1, 2001.

She is survived by four children: Diane (Greg) Westrick, Brian Schroeder and Stacy (Mick) Meyer all of Ottawa, and Jeff Schroeder of Columbus Grove; five grandchildren: Ben Westrick, Dave Westrick, Dereck Meyer, Brooke Engard, Dylan Meyer; and two sisters: Marilyn (Jerry) Macke of Lima, and Kathleen (Ray) Westrick of Ayersville.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter: Laura Schroeder; and a sister Mary Jane Estrada.

Germaine was a homemaker.  She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and formerly a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic. She was a member of Glandorf Catholic Ladies of Columbia, enjoyed bingo, reading and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan. She also liked spending time with her grandchildren and watching their sporting events.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa, with a rosary at 7:30 by the Glandorf CL of C.

Memorials may be made to Putnam County Home Health and Hospice, Putnam County Cancer Assistance Program (CAP) or Sts. Peter and Paul School Endowment Fund.
