Obituary
Kalida -- Gertrude C. Raines, 92, of Kalida and formerly of Muncie, IN died 5:31 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Meadows of Kalida. She was born December 18, 1922. She was married to Harold Raines, who preceded her in death in 1978.
She is survived by a daughter: Janet Schafer of Muncie, IN; 2 sons: David (Carol) Raines of Dallas, TX and Rolland (Cheryl) Raines of California; 7 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a half-brother: Billy Sasser of California. Gertrude is preceded in death by 2 sons: Timothy and Howard Raines; 3 sisters: Virginia, Wanda and Nancy; brother: Robert; and her father: George Sasser.
Gertrude was a hairdresser and owned Town and Country Beauty Salon in Muncie, IN for many years.
Gertrude's family will hold a private service at a later date and her interment will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie, IN. The arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
