Greg J. Hueve

GLANDORF – Greg J. Hueve, 73, of Glandorf, passed away at 7:45 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at The Meadows of Ottawa. He was born February 29, 1952, in Lima to the late Alphonse and Agnes (Niese) Hueve. On October 6, 1984, he married Joan M. Schroeder, who survives in Glandorf.

Other survivors include two children: Sarah (Paul) Sawmiller of Mendon and Zachary Hueve of Glandorf; three grandchildren: Aiden, Will and Layne; and three siblings: Al (Elisa) Hueve of Glandorf, Therese (Steve) Shephard of Toledo and Jean (Peter) Baas of Gulf Port, MS.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four siblings: Dave Hueve, Anthony Hueve, John Hueve and Judy Closius.

Greg was a retired welder and also worked as an engineer in Egypt for 18 years. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Greg was very handy, was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 26, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Matt Keller officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. A scripture service will begin at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church: Maintenance Fund or SPPS Catholic School.
