Gregory J. Schulte

OTTAWA – Gregory J. Schulte, 43, of Ottawa, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at his residence.  He was born February 27, 1982, in Lima to Timothy and Cynthia (Meyer) Schulte, they survive in Ottawa.  On October 10, 2009, he married Laura Karhoff, she also survives in Ottawa.

Greg is also survived by two sons: Garrett Schulte and Owen Schulte, both at home; siblings: Jennifer (Chris Ruthemeyer) Schulte of Cincinnati, Lisa (Mike) Bewley of South Carolina, Kevin (Kelsi) Schulte of Leipsic, Connie Schulte of Gainesville, FL; sister-in-law: Erica (Derek) Maas; father-in-law: Duane Karhoff; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by a mother-in-law, Doris Karhoff.

Greg was part-owner of Lima Millwork, Inc. and was a very skilled carpenter. He was a graduate of Pandora Gilboa High School, Class of 2000. Greg was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa. He was an Eagle Scout.  Greg loved family time, especially with his boys. He also loved to work with them in the shed.  Greg was always there to help anyone in need.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, with Fr. Scott Kramer and Deacon Dave Maas officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with a scripture service at 7:50 p.m.
