Gregory Louis Troyer

OAKWOOD – Gregory Louis Troyer, 61 of Oakwood passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at his residence.  He was born December 18, 1961, in Defiance to John and Linda (Stuckey) Troyer, his father is deceased, and his mother survives in Oakwood.  On April 29, 1988, he married Brenda Arend, who survives in Oakwood.

He is also survived by two sons: Bryant (Heather) Troyer of Charloe, and Patrick Troyer of Continental; and a brother: Jeff (Annette) Troyer of Continental; and many beloved nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Greg was a lifelong farmer.  He had gotten an Associates Degree in Finance from Lima Technical College.  Greg was very hardworking and cared deeply about his family and his dog, Trey. He enjoyed giving Trey rides to check on his crops.  Greg was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Paulding.

Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood with Pastor Jimmy Fry officiating.  Burial will follow in Sherman Cemetery, Oakwood.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and again on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
