HAROLD R. "BARNEY" BARNHART
CLOVERDALE - Harold R. "Barney" Barnhart, 84, of Cloverdale, died 12:11 p.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at his residence.  He was born May 15, 1929, in Putnam County, to the late Steven and Mary (Eagleson) Barnhart.  On August 11, 1956, he married Mary Miller and she survives in Cloverdale.
Also surviving are his children, David Barnhart of Odessa, TX, Michael (Sue) Barnhart of Ottawa, Judy (John) Decker, Dan (Brenette) Barnhart and Cher (Mark) Elliott all of Kalida; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; a brother, LeRoy Barnhart of Cloverdale and 3 sisters: Mildred Klink of Elida, Phyl (Martin) Schaad of Harrod and Angelia Duncan of Continental.
He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Barnhart; 2 brothers, Clarence Barnhart and Ralph Barnhart; and 2 sisters, Frances Steel and Cecelia Dake.
Harold retired after 35 years from Philips Display Components and was a farmer.  He was a member of St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale and its Holy Name.  He was also a member of the Kalida Knights of Columbus and a US Army Veteran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013 at St. Barbara Catholic Church, Cloverdale with Fr. John Stites officiating.   Burial will be at a later date in the church cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.  A scripture service will begin at 2 p.m. and a K of C service at 7 p.m. both at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be donated towards the American Heart Association.
