Harold W. Droll
OTTAWA -  Harold W. Droll, 84, of Ottawa died at 7:05 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born November 3, 1929 in Cloverdale to the late Killian and Emma (Unterbrink) Droll. On May 20, 1967 he married Suzanne Hornstein who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 4 children: Mark (Renee) Droll of Lima, Christopher (Jenny) Droll and Peter (Amy) Droll both of Ottawa, and Amy (Joe) Kletz of Cincinnati; 4 grandchildren: Ryan Droll, Conner Droll, Evelyn Kletz, and Tyler Kletz.  He was also preceded in death by 6 brothers: Ralph, Bud, Arthur, Jerome, Gilbert, and Virgil Droll and 2 sisters: Velma Horstman and Luella Decamp.
Harold was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Ottawa. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict during which he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa Eagles, and the Ottawa VFW.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. There will be a military service following the mass at the church. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to the Ottawa Food Bank.
