Harold A. "Hap" Martin

LEIPSIC - Harold A. "Hap" Martin, 90 of Leipsic died at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at St. Rita's Ambulatory Care Center, Glandorf. He was born July 26, 1928 in Ottawa to the late Dewel and Eleanora (Weis) Martin. On March 22, 1947 he married Esther Jones who died January 24, 2002.

He is survived by two sons, Tim (Mary) Martin of Ottawa and Harold "Joe" Martin, Jr. of Leipsic; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his brother, Francis (Joyce) Martin of Ottawa; and a sister-in-law, Doris Martin of Defiance. Hap was also preceded in death by a son, David Martin; a brother, Carl "Sonny" Martin; and a sister, Ruth Ann (Art) Beining.

Hap retired after 50 years at Weatherseal / Louisiana Pacific, formerly of Ottawa. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Carpentry Union Local 1413.  Hap enjoyed eating out and talking to those around him. He was a "people person."

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa with Pastor Jerry Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in Center Cemetery, West Leipsic. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
