Harold E. Kleman
MILLER CITY – Harold E. Kleman, 86, of Miller City died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Putnam Acres Care Center, Ottawa. He was born July 6, 1925 in Putnam County to the late Edward and Minnie (Moore) Kleman. On May 17, 1950 he married Martha M. Langhals, who died July 7, 2007.
Surviving are 8 children: Sr. Diana Kleman, OSF/T of Toledo, Mary Jane (Daniel) Martin of Lima, Edward (C.J.) Kleman of Lake Cumberland, KY, Philip (Elyse) Kleman of Lima, Ronald Kleman of Ottawa, George (Virginia) Kleman of Ottawa, Teresa (Richard) Harman of Kalamazoo, MI, and Janice (James) Heller of Sylvania; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law: Edith Kleman of Continental. He was preceded in death also by 2 great-grandchildren and 2 brothers: George and Paul Kleman.
Harold was a lifelong farmer and electrician. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City. He was an Army veteran of WWII, a member of Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa VFW, and Ottawa Eagles. He was a member of Ottawa Knights of Columbus and former chairman of the ASCS office.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Miller City with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, North Creek with military rites by the Ottawa American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where there will be a scripture service at 2:00 pm; VFW service at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus service at 7:30 p.m.
Memorials can be made to the Sisters of St. Francis / Tiffin, OH or St. Rita's Hospital Chapel, Lima, OH.
