Harry D. Prowant

CONTINENTAL-Harry D. Prowant, 83, of Continental, died 12:06 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.  He was born September 3, 1936 in Monroe Township, Putnam County to the late Harry E. and Beulah (Stateler) Prowant.  On January 10, 1968 he married Mary Wagner, she survives in Continental.

Harry is also survived by his daughter: Jeanne (Terrence) Tegtmeyer of Vandalia; two grandchildren: Samantha and Nathaniel Tegtmeyer; and a sister-in-law: Joan Prowant of Morenci, MI.

He is preceded in death by a sister: Dianne Prowant; and two brothers: Fred and Carl Prowant.

Harry was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Kalida Fish and Game Club.  He was retired from Anderson Chemical Plant, Adrian, MI.

A private graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2020 at North Mt. Zion Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
