Harry V. Siefker
KALIDA - Harry V. Siefker, 84, of Kalida died at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at The Meadows of Kalida. He was born February 11, 1928 in Kalida to the late John and Anna (Saum) Siefker. On January 20, 1951 he married Rose Marie Siefker who died November 16, 2011.
He is survived by 3 children: Miriam Miller, Joe (Doris) Siefker, both of Kalida, and Dr. Tom (Cheryl) Siefker of Ottoville; a daughter-in-law: Diane Siefker of Kalida; 13 grandchildren: Mark (Diane) Miller, Ryan (Roberta) Miller, David (Deneika) Miller, Andrew (Brittany) Miller, Kelsey Miller, Tracy (Brian) Looser, Aaron (Lindsey) Siefker, Kerri (Matt) Jutte, Chris (Melissa) Siefker, Holly (Kenny) Frey, Shayla Siefker, Abby Siefker, and Brendan Siefker; 20 great-grandchildren; and a brother: Laverne (LaDonna) Siefker of Columbus Grove. He was also preceded in death by a son: Robert Lee Siefker; a son-in-law: Thomas Miller; a great-grandchild: Brayden Siefker; 3 brothers: Raymond (Mary), Wilbert (Marion), and Richard (Mildred) Siefker; and 2 sisters: Cyrilda (Leo) Verhoff and Rosena (Steve) Grote.
Harry was a farmer and an insurance agent. Harry was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida and it's Holy Name Society and a charter member of Kalida Lions Club. Harry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
