Helen M. Herman

OTTOVILLE - Helen M. Herman, 77, of Ottoville died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Rita's Hospice Center, Lima. She was born November 30, 1939 in Kirby, OH to the late Theodore A. and Margaret S. (Schmitz) Fisher. On September 16, 1961 she married Leo F. Herman and he survives in Ottoville.

Also surviving are three children, Lois McKnight and Ted (Chris) Herman both of Ottoville and Lecia (Tim) Williams of Delphos; five grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Phipps of Findlay. She was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Demi Williams; 3 sisters: Dorothy Fisher, Rita Smith, Delores Fisher and a brother, Bob Fisher.

Helen was a RN at the former Paradise Oaks Nursing Home, Cloverdale. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She was also a member of the Delphos Eagles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville, with The Very Reverend Jerome Schetter officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ottoville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Sunday, Monday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  where a scripture service will be at 1:45 p.m., and Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. till time of service all  at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Twp.
