Helen M. Williams
OAKWOOD - Helen M. Williams, 85, of Oakwood died at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.  She was born March 3, 1929 in Latty to the late Orrin and Margurite (Shisler) Harris.  On May 3, 1947, she married Junior Williams who died July 16, 2006.
Helen is survived by two children: Dian (Dan) Okuly of Defiance and Tonda (Jack) Colwell of Jonesville, MI.; four grandchildren: Jeff Okuly, Kim (Steve) Spangler, Angie (Terry) Knoll and Chris (Mike) Tawney; nine great-grandchildren: Cassie, Danielle, Samatha Okuly, Allison Weber, Zack and Kara Knoll, Kalli, Kya, Caden Tawney; a sister, Shirley Hoellrich of Holgate and a brother, Richard Harris of Continental.  She is preceded in death by a granddaughter-in-law, Hope Okuly; a great-granddaughter, Zara Tawney and two brothers: Walter and Jack Harris.
Helen was a homemaker who provided daycare for many families in Oakwood.  She was a member of the Twin Oaks United Methodist Church, Oakwood and was on the Oakwood Election Board for 15 years.
A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood, with Pastor Eric Dailey officiating.  Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Oakwood.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice.
