Helen M. Kuhlman

OTTAWA – Helen M. Kuhlman, 92, of Ottawa died 8:00 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  She was born November 7, 1923 in Miller City to the late Edward and Bertha (Niese) Hohenbrink.  On August 19, 1944 she married Ambrose J. Kuhlman, who preceded her in death on September 30, 1987.

She is survived by her children:  Joan (Ronald) Pohlman of Ottawa and Gary (Peggy) Kuhlman of New Cleveland; 6 grandchildren:  Jeffrey (Connie) Pohlman, Mark (Doug O'Neal) Pohlman, Darrin (Suzie) Pohlman, Sonya (Rick) Berner, Denise (Tony) Gilbert and Kimberly Kuhlman; 7 great-grandchildren:  Zach and Haley Pohlman, Averie and Kasie Pohlman, Hunter and Kylie Berner, and Colton Straley; a sister:  Pauline Bockrath of Kalida; and 2 sisters-in-law:  Dolores Kuhlman of New Cleveland and Thelma Kuhlman of Ottawa.

Helen is preceded in death by a brother: Norbert and Eileen Hohenbrink; a sister:  Marcella and Julius Kuhlman; and a brother-in-law:  Wilfred Bockrath.

Helen was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Father Matt Jozefiak officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, New Cleveland.  Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 8p.m. at the LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa where a scripture service will be held at 3 p.m.
