Helen T. Schroeder
LEIPSIC - Helen T. Schroeder, 93, of Leipsic died at 4:10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born January 5, 1922 in Miller City to the late Lawrence and Loretta (Meyer) Stechschulte. On April 18, 1945 she married Norbert "Tater" Schroeder who died July 3, 1982.
She is survived by 4 children: Thomas "Doc" (Mary) Schroeder of Ottawa, Joan (Kenneth) Winkle of Columbus, IN, Rose Ann (Dan) Imm of Ottawa, and Roger Lee (Cara) Schroeder of Midland, MI; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son: Mark Schroeder; a daughter: Joyce Wagner; a grandchild; 3 brothers: Thomas Stechschulte, Leonard Stechschulte and Lawrence  Stechschulte; and 3 sisters: Irene Recker, Bertha Steffes, and Marcella Schroeder.
Helen was retired from Philips, formerly of Ottawa. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic and it's Rosary Altar Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 24, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Leipsic with Fr. Bill Pihfer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic and one hour prior to the mass at church on Friday. A Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Rosary Altar Society rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
