Howard C. Brickner

NEW CLEVELAND – Howard C. Brickner, 80, of New Cleveland, died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born March 1, 1935 in New Cleveland to the late Edward and Loretta (Rump) Brickner.  On November 19, 1971, he married Julia Brinkman and she survives in New Cleveland.  Also surviving are 2 sisters:  Betty McNulty of Toledo and Carolyn Warnecke of Ft. Jennings.  He was also preceded in death by a brother: James Brickner.

Howard retired from Philips Electronics in Ottawa. He also repaired electronics and erected television towers and antennas.  He was an Army veteran for three years specializing in communications.  He graduated from Miller City High School, was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Cleveland, and a member of the Ottawa Knights of Columbus.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 12 noon Friday, February 5, 2016 at Holy Family Catholic Church, New Cleveland, with Fr. Stephen Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church
