Howard J. Rellinger

KALIDA – Howard J. Rellinger, 65, of Kalida, passed away at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Cleveland Clinic. He was born November 4, 1957, in Lima to the late Art and Doris (Rayman) Rellinger.  On July 30, 1976, he married Jodi Good, who survives in Kalida.

Other survivors include three children: Brian (Melanie) Rellinger of Delaware, Bruce (Maria) Rellinger of Cloverdale and Brad (Kim) Rellinger of Lewis Center; six siblings: Karla (Stan) Sanderson, Marlene (Dale) Chapin, Dave (Kathy) Rellinger, Tina (Joe) Koester, Toni (Tim) Rieger and Doug (Sharon) Rellinger; and six grandchildren: Evan, Elise, Lane, Chase, Keegan and Miles.

Howard was a manager at Kahle Feed Mill, Kalida, where he specialized in agronomy.  He retired on August 31, 2023 after 44 years.  He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida, where he was an usher, as well as the Holy Name Society. Howard was also a member of the Kalida Athletic Boosters and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed crop tours, spending time at the lake, watching sports (especially the Green Bay Packers) and formerly coached Kalida Junior High Basketball. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will begin 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 5, 2023 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Nathan Bockrath officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 8 p.m., Wednesday and 9 - 10 a.m. on Thursday at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
