Ilo Louise Johnston
CONTINENTAL – Ilo Louise Johnston, 94, of Continental died at 12:18 p.m. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at The Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford.
She was born on August 28, 1917 in Putnam County to the late George and Viola (King) Ketner.  On June 4, 1938, she married Edward L. Johnston, who died July 29, 1984.
Survivors include two sons, Robert (Alison) Johnston of Loudon, TN and Steven (Eulene) Johnston of Hamler; a daughter, Marcia (Steve) Thompson of Rockford; a daughter-in-law, Darlene Johnston of Lima; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a devoted niece and caretaker, Margaret Grant.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ray Johnston; two grandchildren; three brothers; and five sisters.
Ilo retired from Campbell Soup Co., Napoleon and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Continental and Continental Eastern Star.
Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
