Imogene A. (Pohlman) Ellerbrock

OTTAWA – Imogene A. (Pohlman) Ellerbrock, 99, of Ottawa, passed away at 2:35 a.m., Sunday, February 15, 2026, at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born January 3, 1927, in Delphos to the late Otto and Cora (Facker) Pohlman. On April 5, 1975, she married Robert L. Ellerbrock, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2014.

Imogene is survived by two sons: Byron (Jill) Ellerbrock, Todd Ellerbrock, both of Ottawa; a daughter, Marie Moreno of Mansfield; seven wonderful grandchildren: Niki (Ross) Lehman, Jamie Ellerbrock, Ryan (Mellie) Moreno, Jeremy Moreno, Gerell Spence, Tonia Spence, Diante Marshall; fifteen wonderful great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Schwinnen of Landeck; two brothers-in-law: Harold Ellerbrock, Norbert Bockrath; four sisters-in-law: Joan Pohlman, Patricia (Mel) Williams, Rita (Norbert) Suever and Theresa Ellerbrock; and a ton of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Paul Moreno; two brothers: Art (Rose Mary) Pohlman, Earl (Esther) Pohlman; two sisters: Eleanor (Lavern) Wannemacher, Rosie (Hubert) Noonan; a brother-in-law, Richard “Hanse” Schwinnen; in-laws: Len (Dolores) Bockrath, Jim (Betty) Smith, Jim (Alvina) Ellerbrock, Margret (Clete) Kerner, Tom (Alberta) Ruhe, Karl Ellerbrock, Jane Bockrath, Doris Ellerbrock, Andrew Ellerborck; and mother and father-in-law: John (Frances) Ellerbrock; and in-laws: John (Jane) Ricker, Eugene (Delores) Meyer, Bernard (Sally) Looser, Melvin “Bun” (Rita Mae) Pohlman, Gilbert “Gip” Pohlman, Ronald “Duke” Pohlman and Alphonse (Adeline) Pohlman.

Imogene was a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School. She worked 25 years at Shenks Department store in Delphos, and later worked for the Putnam County Sentinel. Imogene and her late husband Robert “Bingo Bob” were lifelong members of the Ottawa Knights of Columbus and managed the Bingo on Monday nights for several years. She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa, the Altar Rosary Society and C. L. of C.

Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Scott Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday prior to mass at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or Putnam County Hospice.
