IRENE E. ELLERBROCK
Glandorf -- Irene E. Ellerbrock, 98, died 3:00 a.m. Sunday, August 23, 2015 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born May 1, 1917 in Glandorf, to the late John and Helena (Huelsman) Karhoff. On September 10, 1941 she married Albert Ellerbrock who died June 23, 1998.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Mary Ann (James) Recker and Linda (Dennis) Moening, both of Glandorf; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by  a grandson, Ronald Recker; 3 brothers: Urban Karhoff, Leo Karhoff and Victor Karhoff; and a sister: Ida Kerner.
Irene was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf and its Altar Rosary Society, Glandorf Catholic Ladies of Columbia and Ottawa Eagles Auxiliary.  She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf with Fr. Tony Fortman officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.  A rosary by the CL of C will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorial donations may be made to the St. John's Building Fund.
