Irma Marie Krouse
KALIDA — Irma Marie Krouse, 87, of Kalida died 9:10 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf. She was born July 21, 1924 in Kalida to the late Henry and Irene (Unverferth) Holtkamp. On July 24, 1948 she married Nolan Krouse, who survives in Kalida.
Also Surviving are 6 children: Gary (Connie) Krouse of Kalida, Kathleen (Tim) Bailey of Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Beth Krouse of Albany, Joan (Randy) Nienberg of Kalida, Becky (Roger) Brinkman of Kalida, and Steve (Sheryl) Krouse of Kalida; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother: Don (Ginny) Holtkamp of Kalida; a sister: Rita (Denny) Maag of Kalida; 2 brothers-in-law: Tom Smith and Joe Pequignot, both of Fort Jennings; and a sister-in-law: Betty Holtkamp of Kalida.
She was preceded in death also by 2 sisters: Dorothy Smith and Joan Pequignot; and a brother: Eugene Holtkamp.
Irma was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida and it's Altar Rosary Society. She retired as a registered nurse from Dr. Kidd's and Horstman's Office in Kalida. She received her Registered Nursing degree from Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, baking, and listening to music. She loved her grandkids and her job and many of her patients called her "Mom."
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. John Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township (on the corner of St. Rt. 224 and 634) where an Altar Rosary Society service will be held 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
