Ivan Lause
OTTAWA - Ivan Lause, 91, of Ottawa, died at 1:03 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born May 16, 1925 in Delphos to the late Carl F. and Mildred M. (Blockberger) Lause. On September 22, 1947 he married Catherine Dangler who survives in Ottawa.
He is also survived by a son, Dale (Natasha) Lause of Stryker; four grandchildren, Dean Lause, Stacy Lause, Pavlo Bilyk, and Daria Bilyk;a great-grandchild; a sister: Kathy (Gene) Rayle of Ottawa; and a brother, Bob (Midge) Lause of Ottawa. Ivan was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lause and a sister, Marcella "Sally" Steiner.
Ivan was the Service Manager for 38 years at Jack Howell Chevrolet formerly of Ottawa. He was an Army veteran of WWII and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa and the Ottawa American Legion. Ivan loved spending time with his wife.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ottawa with Fr. Matt Jozefiak officiating. Military rites by the Ottawa American Legion, Ottawa VFW, and Am Vets will follow at the church. Burial will be in Benton Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
