Jack Silas Christman

LEIPSIC – Jack Silas Christman, 71, of Leipsic, passed away at 11:44 a.m. on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the Meadows of Ottawa.  He was born September 18, 1950, in Findlay to the late Herbert and Carolyn (Cole) Christman.  On June 8, 1973, he married Susan Studer, she survives in Leipsic.

Jack is also survived by two children: Gwen (Keith) Cupp of Leipsic and Jay (Jodie) Christman of Zionsville, IN; four grandchildren: Gavin (Shana Hovest) Cupp of St. Paul, MN., Julia Cupp, Sara Cupp, both of Leipsic, and Jordyn Christman of Zionsville, IN.; brothers: Tom (Pat) Christman  of Leipsic, Ron Christman and Don (Dorothy) Christman, both of Ottawa; sisters: Cindy (Marty) Friess of Delta, Jayne (Dean) Nuveman of Miller City, Jeanne Selhorst of Leipsic; and a sister-in-law: Roberta Christman of Deshler.

He is preceded in death by a brother: Herb Christman; and a brother-in-law: Nick Selhorst.

Jack was the Co-owner of Christman Bros. Builders, INC.  He was a member of the Leipsic VFW.  Jack enjoyed fishing, watching Ohio State Football and Detroit Tigers.  He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids.  Jack especially enjoyed vacationing at the lake with his family.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic with a small service at 6:30 p.m.  Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery, Leipsic at a later date.
