Jack Richard Cottle
PANDORA – Jack R. Cottle, 84, of Pandora, peacefully went home to be with the Lord at 11:06 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022, with his family at his side at Blanchard Valley Hospital Bridge Hospice Facility in Findlay. He was born February 27, 1938, in Reading, WV to the late Otis Richard and Vada (Riddle) Cottle. On January 18, 1964, he married Dawn M. Turner who preceded him in death on February 13, 1980. On April 8, 1995, he married Rose D. Uber and they celebrated their 27th anniversary together this past Friday.
Survivors include two children: Tracy (Joe) Hettinger of Johnstown, and Scott (Tammy) Cottle of Leipsic; 3 grandchildren: Kortney (DeLee) Salinas of Ada, Mark Hettinger and Jason Hettinger, both of Johnstown.
Jack worked for Philips in Ottawa for 19 years. He then retired after working for DTR in Bluffton. Jack graduated from Wellington High School in 1957 and attended BGSU for several years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa, was a Findlay Lions Club and Jaycees member. Jack enjoyed attending church, spending time with Rose, traveling, sightseeing, gardening, fishing, and nature walks. He was an avid Colts and Ohio State Buckeyes fan and was a former Boy Scout leader.
Funeral service will begin 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa with Pastor Marcella Ciccotelli officiating. Visitation will be held 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, OTTAWA and again on Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. Private family burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.
Memorial donations may be made to Ottawa Food Pantry or Putnam County Council on Aging.
