OTTAWA - Jackie "Jack" Warren Mead of Ottawa died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. He was born October 18, 1941 in Kalida to the late Bill and Beulah (Etter) Mead. On October 31, 1985 he married Deanna DeRossette who survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 9 children: Jackie J. Warren (Kim) Mead, Jr. of Bunker, MO, Pat T. Mead of Marysville, James B. Mead of Ottawa, Bart Draper of Beaverdam, Kim Edmondson of Springfield, MO, Robin (Larry) Mead of Norman, OK, Tracy (Jon) Mead of Ft. Collins, CO, Solena (David) Mead of Fletcher, and Phoeba Mead of Ottawa; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Bob Mead of Salem, MO and his twin, Billy (Ann) Mead of Salem, MO.
Jack retired from Lima Engine Plant in 2004 after 45 years of service. He was a member of the Kalida Fish and Game and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
A celebration of his life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were handled by LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa.
