James C. Cullinan
Summerfield, IL. - James C. Cullinan, 71, formerly of Continental died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his residence in Summerfield, IL. He was born October 6, 1943 in Lima to the late John F. and Mary L (Hughes) Cullinan, also preceding him in death is his step-father, Harold Baringer. In 1964, he married Ernestine Wickizer who died in September of 1988. Then in 1993 he married Betty Marie Bequette who died January of 2004.
James is survived by 4 stepsons and 3 step-daughters; a sister, Kimberly (John) Rue of Continental; 2 step-brothers: William (Janice) Baringer of Tennessee and Charles Baringer of South Carolina; a step-sister: Alice (Ed) Gebhardt of Defiance; half-sister: Cheryll (Jack) Shannon of Arizona and a half-brother: William Patrick Cullinan of Florida. James is preceded in death by a step-son and step-daughter; a sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Ken Schreiber; a step-sister, Phyliss Ordway; step sister-in-law: Helen Baringer; half-brother: David Cullinan; and a niece, Ashley Rue.
James was a retired truck driver. He was a Navy veteran serving 1961 thru 1976.
A funeral service will begin 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Free Christian Church of God, Continental with Rev. James Fry officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental with military rites by Continental American Legion.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to service at the church on Sunday.
Memorials may be given to the charity of donor's choice.
