James "Buzz" Decker
OAKWOOD – James "Buzz" Decker, 77, of Oakwood died at 2:20 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at The Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born April 30, 1936 in Kalida to the late Bill and Florence "Bonnie" (Hadding) Decker. On January 6, 1996 he married Beverly Dills who died February 23, 2010.
He is survived by 4 children: Glenn Decker of Oakwood, Charles (Lisa) Decker of Newark, Edward "Joe" (Tracey) Decker of Connecticut, and Sandra "Sandi" (Bryan) McDaniel of Kansas; 2 stepdaughters: Tara McMonigal and Tanya Garlock; 41 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; a brother: Sam Decker; and a sister: Barbara Nichols. He was also preceded in death by a son: Jeff Decker and 2 brothers: Jack and Fred Decker.
There will be a private burial at a later date in Monroe Cemetery, Continental.
Arrangements are under the direction of HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood.
