James L. “Jim” Korte

DELPHOS - James L. “Jim” Korte, 68, of Delphos died at 4:30 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Meadows of Delphos. He was born November 20, 1957, in Lima to the late Paul and Bernice (Hoffman) Korte.

Jim is survived by his 6 siblings: Rose (Gary) Stechschulte of Fort Jennings, Denny (Bev) Korte of Ottawa, Jane (Kerry) Schlegel of Fort Jennings, Bob Korte of Fort Jennings, Lisa (Jack) Yearling of Payne and Steve Korte of Fort Jennings; and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.

Jim retired from Philips Display Components, Ottawa and was a former member of the Fort Jennings American Legion. He loved following sprint cars and NASCAR racing and his second home was the Eldora Speedway. He loved to ride his Harley and enjoyed a good game of cards.

At Jim’s request, he will be cremated and his family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date. The arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Jackson Township.
