James D. Rippetoe

CONTINENTAL - James D. Rippetoe, 61, of Continental, died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 20, 1955 in Lima  to James E. and Alice (Swicker) Rippetoe. His father is deceased, his mother survives in Continental.

He is also survived by a daughter: Serenity (Scott) Puffinberger of Mark Center; his significant other: Kathy Ditmire of Continental; three grandchildren: Nathan, Christopher, and Elizabeth Puffinberger; four brothers: Doyle (Alice) Rippetoe of Orlando, FL, Michael (Diane) Rippetoe of Oakwood, William (Kathy) Rippetoe and Mark (Lisa) Rippetoe both of Continental; and a sister: Amy (Gene) Worline of Grove City, PA, three stepchildren: Amy (Kenyon) Mauk of TN, Erica Ditmire of Valparaiso, IN, and Brian Ditmire of Rochester, IN;  ten step grandchildren.

James was a machinist for Global Precision, Ottoville. He was a member of the Defiance Moose, Eagles, and Am Vets. James enjoyed fishing and camping.

A Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Auglaize Church of God with Pastors Stan Harman and Gene and Amy Worline officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Oakwood and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Rita's Hospice or to the Auglaize Church of God.
