James G. Whitaker
NEW HAVEN, IN. James G. Whitaker, 74, of New Haven, IN, died at 12:45 am Friday, June 1, 2012 at his residence. He was born March 13, 1938 in Kansas City, KS to the late James G. and Lucille (O'Connor) Whitaker. On June 30, 1995, he married Darlene Corkwell and she survives in New Haven.  Also surviving are 3 sons, 1 daughter, 1 stepson and 1 stepdaughter.
Jim was a truck driver for Super Value Foods of Fort Wayne. He was a Vietnam Army veteran.  Funeral service will begin at 12:00 noon Monday, June 4, 2012 at Heitmeyer Funeral Home, Continental with Rev. Jim Teasdale and Rev George Alley officiating.  Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental with military rites by the Continental American Legion.  Visitation will be 10 am until time of service Monday, June 4, 2012 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental.
