Obituary

Jamie Christianson

OTTAWA – We celebrate the beautiful life of, Jamie Christianson, 56, who passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at her residence in Ottawa, OH. Jamie was born September 7, 1967, in Hibbing, Minnesota to Tarmo and Carol (Wherland) Talikka and grew up in northern Minnesota. Jamie was a cherished soul known for her kindness, generosity, and incredible sense of humor. Her infectious laugh and beautiful smile were hallmarks of her personality, endearing her to all who crossed her path. Jamie had a profound love for art and history, which she shared with others through her volunteer work as a tour guide at The Depot Museum, where she passionately recounted the local history. She had a deep appreciation for Egyptian art and a strong passion for music, especially grunge rock. Her interests were diverse and eclectic, spanning reading, solving puzzles, painting, photography, architecture, crocheting, cooking, gardening, camping, and fishing. Jamie loved discovering new and unique foods, earning the distinction of being a true barbecue sauce connoisseur. Above all, Jamie treasured the time spent with her family, especially her daughter, Kellie Rose, who meant everything to her and was the light of her life. Her love for her family was boundless, and she leaves behind countless memories filled with joy and laughter. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and her presence will be sorely missed. Her favorite color was yellow, a hue that symbolized sunshine, happiness, and the vibrant beauty of nature. In remembrance of Jamie, we invite you to wear or incorporate something yellow into your life as a way to honor the warmth and love she shared with everyone she knew. Jamie was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, who resides in New Canaan, Connecticut; her daughter, Kellie Rose of Columbus, Ohio; her siblings, Shawna Talikka of Daytona Beach, Florida, Todd (Angela Roehrig) Talikka of Kentucky, and Ashley (Ryan McCarthy) Roulx of Tyngsborough, Massachusetts; and her eight beloved nieces and nephews: Victoria, Tristen, Nicholas, Brianna, Tristan, Carissa, Brandon, and Rowan.

A joyful celebration of Jamie's life will be held at a later date in Minnesota with friends and family.
