Jane C. Deken
Continental - Jane C. Deken, 53, of Continental died Monday, December 8, 2014 North of Grover Hill as a result of an auto accident.  She was born January 29, 1961 in Lima to Troy and Wanda (Center) Grant, Sr.  Her father survives in Defiance and her mother survives in Dupont.  On June 14, 1980, she married Steve Deken who survives in Continental.
Jane is also survived by their children: Eric (Katherine) Deken of Pandora, Jeremiah  (Diana) Deken, Scott (Jessica Hanefeld) Deken and Sara (Ryan Wehri) Deken all of Continental; 1 brother: Troy (Mary) Grant Jr. of Oakwood; 4 sisters: Lisa (Armando) Barraza of Ottawa, Mickey Grant of Sherwood, Karen (Brian) Kosch of Continental and Rhonda Walz of Edon; 5 granddaughters and a grandson. Preceding her in death is a brother-in-law: Kevin Walz.
Jane was a Senior System Analyst for Central Mutual Insurance Company in Van Wert since February 1980.
She was a member of Dupont Church of the Brethren where she enjoyed serving on  the music board. Jane was also a member of the International Assoc. of Insurance Professionals (IAIP).  Jane loved crocheting, cross stitching and writing in her journal.  She was active in her kids lives and activities such as Girl Scouts and soccer, as well as spending time and playing games with her grandchildren.  She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and an overall wonderful person.
A funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Dupont Church of the Brethren, Dupont with Rev. Terry Porter officiating.  Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Continental.  Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Continental and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Memorials may be given to The American Diabetes Association.
