Jane Leopold

KALIDA - Jane Leopold, 86, of Kalida died at 5:20 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at The Meadows of Kalida. She was born August 23, 1930 in Kalida to the late William F. and Amelia (Siefker) Leopold.

She is survived by twelve nieces and nephews, Mary Jane (Kenny) Palte, Dr. Anna (Joseph Recker) Horstman, Diane (Dan) Merkle, Barbara (Steven) Verhoff, Marie (Jamie) Hamilton, Lois (Larry) Kaufman, Janet (Dan) Warnecke, Paul (Mary Jane) Horstman, Jim (Ruth) Horstman, Dick (Judy) Horstman, Tom Horstman, Bill (Julia Singhaus) Leopold; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Leopold of Kalida; thirty-nine great-nieces and nephews; and forty-six great-great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Rose Mary Horstman and a brother, William Leopold.

Jane was a homemaker who enjoyed being outside helping on the farm, gardening, and caring for others. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Sodality.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Kalida with Fr. Mark Hoying officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of departure for mass on Saturday at LOVE FUNERAL HOME, Ottawa. There will be a scripture service at 1:45 p.m. and a rosary service at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
