Jane R. Wagner-Riepenhoff
MILLER CITY - Jane R. Wagner-Riepenhoff, age 81, of Miller City, passed away peacefully at 11:44 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at The Meadows of Ottawa with family by her side holding her hand. Born November 4, 1943, in Lima, Jane was the beloved daughter of the late Floyd and Agnes (Gerdeman) Scheckelhoff. Her life was a beautiful testament to selflessness, compassion, and unwavering faith.
On July 13, 1963, she married Norman Wagner, with whom she shared 30 blessed years before his passing.
January 24, 1997, she found love again and married James "Jim" Riepenhoff and they were married 27 wonderful years, who preceded her in death.
Jane was a devoted mother to her children: Terry (Laura) Wagner of Glandorf and Lynn (Ron) Deitering of McComb and Deb Wagner (Spouse of the late Greg Wagner) of New Bavaria. Five stepchildren: Jean (Chuck) Anderson of Indianapolis, IN; Jeff (Carolyn) Riepenhoff and John (Julie) Riepenhoff, both of Miller City; Julie (Keith) Hamburg of Kalida; and Joyce (Bryan) Kuhlman of New Cleveland.
She was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, with 2 additional births coming this year. All of whom she adored deeply.
Jane was also a loving sister to Sr. Linda Scheckelhoff, Rick Scheckelhoff, Ken (Regina) Scheckelhoff, Cindy (Steve) Maag, and Floyd Scheckelhoff.
She was preceded in death by her son, Greg Wagner, and her grandchild, Michael Riepenhoff.
Throughout her life she worked at Agri Co, Wagner Sawmill and the Pit Stop Carryout. She was an active and devoted member of the Henry County Right to Life organization, a cause she held close to her heart.
In her later years she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family in Florida and always enjoyed a good competitive game of Euchre.
Above all, Jane found joy in the simple, sacred moments; spending time with her family, watching them grow, and celebrating every milestone. She was known to all as a gentle soul, the sweetest woman, and a true blessing in the lives she touched. Her quiet strength, unconditional love, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She believed in the promise of eternal life through faith in Him. As John 3:16 reminds us, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
1 John 5:13 "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God."
Jane's life was a reflection of his love, and her hope would be for everyone to receive the same peace through salvation she knew as a gift from her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
